Perhaps with thoughtfulness and reprioritizing we can reclaim the truer image of what it means to be a Christian.
Serving an idol devised by our expectations of what a god should be is much safer than serving the living God that Jesus revealed.
We are programmed to worship. If it is not God it will be something else that at least cannot help but at most can destroy.
Too frequently we plan out our futures neglecting the things that prepare us for the “afterward” of our time in these temporary bodies.
Our value as a person stands independent of our status on social media. Our individualism is a gift to be cherished and nurtured - not a commodity to be exploited.
There are many things that we can be mistaken about without weighty consequences. But eternity is too important to put at risk with a personally comfortable but dangerously inaccurate concept of God and His relationship to mankind (me).
