Glad You’re Here
The non-blog part of the Saltshaker site is a library of sorts to help us ‘grains of salt’ to retain our flavor. It is not a handbook on correct dogma, but an inquisitive look at ideas we may or may not embrace ourselves. It is the result of my curiosity that led me to condensed forms of the information I found and wanted to save. Sometimes we shelter ourselves—both intentionally and unintentionally—from people who think differently than us. Here is a safe space to explore. Sometimes we want to consider our convictions from the perspectives of others. Maybe we just have questions. Why are some people upset with those who call themselves Christians? What am I supposed to be doing as one who follows Jesus? I don’t know how to answer that objection to faith. Am I a disciple or a ‘churcher’? Can I be at peace with being single? What does the Bible actually say about this or that? Is the Bible even reliable? Do science and faith oppose? Is the Gospel I share correct? Perhaps you are hurting, questioning, or just curious. There is a lot of information so be patient as the pages load. Browse around for info, answers, or challenges to your perspective, or use the search bar to speed the process.
~DISCLAIMER~
Of course we will be wrong about things, but not the main things – who Jesus is and what He came to do. The links shared are not necessarily an endorsement of everything that person/group publishes. In fact, I may not even agree with everything said. But I want to offer a variety of perspectives for you to engage with. If you have found helpful information yourself, pass it along by email and I might incorporate it into the ever evolving Saltshaker site.
Go explore! Enjoy! And perhaps expand your horizons!
