After becoming a believer, my zeal for authentic Christianity unfortunately led me into a spiritually abusive church environment, both as a participant and as a leader. Facing that reality required more than seeking forgiveness and reconciliation. It also required a careful reevaluation and reconstruction of the teachings and attitudes I had embraced. Salt-Shaker.blog is a collection of resources, insights, and discoveries that helped me through that recovery process.

My hope is to help others recognize and avoid both the pitfalls of spiritual abuse and the systems that enable it. I also hope these resources encourage believers to think beyond their own bubbles, examine assumptions, and help create communities that are safe, healthy, and centered on Christ.

‘Test everything; hold on to what is good.’ 1 Th 5:21 Thanks for visiting! Shalom!
