You may (or may not) have been wondering if there were any further Saltshaker blog posts coming. I know it has been a minute. I have been evaluating and reevaluating the contribution I should be making at this point in my life, and although I will continue to write, it may be more infrequent. I will no longer be sharing the posts on Facebook, so you will only receive updates if you are subscribed. Obviously you are – but share the posts with friends who also might be interested. I have been learning so many things about God and His story. The version I believed most of my adult life was not incorrect on the basics, but I think it would be safe to say it was incomplete. The emphasis was on works, personal holiness, performance and discipline. All good things. But God has graciously shattered (yet again) my idea of Who He is, breaking out of the box I put Him in. I have been learning His incomparable love not just for me, but for those who do not even think about Him – except with dread perhaps. I have been seeing the beauty that used to live in the ‘sin shadow’ of my perception, and have accepted His invitation to open my heart to kingdom living as a non-anxious participant. Blessed with access to authors and materials that even twenty five years ago were fairly inaccessible, my voracious little ‘learner’ heart has been overwhelmed with ideas, understanding new paths that drip with joy and possibility. Let’s be realistic. I will be compelled to share, so stick around and join me in exploring God’s inexhaustible truths!!

Shalom my friends!
